Parking

Patient parking

Limited patient parking, including disabled parking, is available on site on a first come, first served basis.

Public transport recommended

Parking in the surrounding area is extremely limited, so public transport is recommended where possible.

Drop-off

There is a free five-minute drop-off zone outside the main entrance.

Blue Badge parking

Blue Badge parking is free for the duration of the stay in patient and visitor car parks, but badges must be registered on arrival. Dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces are available near the main entrances.

Up to 1 hour: £3.30; Up to 2 hours: £6.50; Up to 3 hours: £9.80; Up to 4 hours: £13.20; Up to 5 hours: £16.40; Up to 6 hours: £19.60; Up to 7 hours: £23; Up to 24 hours: £26.

Finding your way inside the hospital

The Royal Free Hospital has two main entrances. Choose the directions below based on which entrance you use.

From the main entrance

Walk along the main corridor, pass the Atrium on your right, and take the main lifts to the 12th floor.

From the Rowland Hill Street entrance

Walk to the end of the corridor and turn left. Continue until you see a reception desk on your left, then turn right and take the main lifts to the 12th floor.

Lyndhurst Rooms

If your appointment is in Lyndhurst Rooms, please contact the team in advance or follow hospital signage on arrival.

Accessibility

Entrance

The Pond Street entrance is accessible. The approach to the hospital is steep.

Inside the hospital

Lifts are available to the wards and clinics. Accessible toilets are available throughout the hospital.

Reception support

Hearing loops are available at the main outpatient reception desks. Automatic doors are available at the main entrances. Wheelchairs are available for patient use at the main reception.
